Tea against fatigue
Life is like waves, a constant oscillation of ups and downs. One moment we are on top of the wave, full of energy and with a smile on our face, and the next we are already sinking covered by its crest.
We have all felt moments of fatigue, listlessness, mental distraction, and moments when our energy level is in the red. In such moments, we are more exposed to gloomy thoughts because we do not have the strength to resist them and we think that we are tired of work, tired of obligations, or the problematic situation in which we found ourselves, but in fact we are just tired. In winter, when the days are short and the sun is shy, we feel tired more often than usual, especially because the lack of sunlight can significantly affect our mood. There is, however, one great and very simple remedy for fatigue, and that is sleep.
Sleep is an incredible physiological phenomenon. Scientists find that during sleep cerebrospinal fluid which protects the brain and spinal cord from trauma and supplies the nervous system with nutrients, increases dramatically to remove harmful waste products that build up between brain cells during wakefulness. And this cleaning of the brain happens only during sleep. Sleep can also help us maintain a healthy body weight due to the effects of hormones called leptin and ghrelin. Leptin levels increase during sleep and prevent hunger, while ghrelin levels increase as a result of sleep deprivation and stimulate hunger. Sleep also increases our brain capacity, as well as our creativity and ability to solve problems and think outside the box. Research also reveals that people who sleep seven hours or more perform better and are more successful than those in the same control group who sleep less than seven hours.
With this in mind, the next time you feel overwhelmed by endless thoughts, discouraged, sad, dreary or anxious, remember that the underlying, if not the cause, then at least the trigger for all of this is fatigue and go to sleep. And if sleep does not come easily to your eyes or it is not a suitable time to sleep, try at least to rest, without brainstorming, without looking for solutions, and without questioning. In doing so, you will find a valuable ally in teas.
These fragrant drinks will fill you with warmth, seduce you with their aromas, and help you relax and fall asleep. Be sure to choose mild teas, such as chamomile or verbena, which can be used in the fight against insomnia, or tea blends such as Balance Tea and Antistrain Tea, which will contribute to your relaxation with their aromas and fragrances and beneficial effects and make your home warmer and more comfortable place.
Armed with a warm tea that lulls you to sleep, sleep a little longer and forget all this nonsense. And tomorrow? Tomorrow is a new day.
